Our community and nation are facing an unprecedented global pandemic involving a new virus and disease known as COVID-19. Thomasville Family Medicine is coordinating with local and national healthcare organizations. We are staying up to date on all guidelines from WHO, CDC and governmental agencies. This is a rapidly evolving, fluid situation with knowledge about the disease and how to treat and prevent it, changing almost daily.
We wanted to let you, our patients, know specifically what we are doing to protect our patients, staff and providers. We are currently scheduling only well patients in the morning and sick patients in the afternoon. We have the availability for virtual visits and encourage you to use those for routine health matters. We are checking temperatures on all patients, visitors, staff and providers before exposure. We are testing anyone with fever, cough and potential exposure to COVID-19, call our office so that we can make appropriate decisions about whether you need testing and how to safely do that. Please wash your hands, practice social distancing and self isolate if you have symptoms. We need to do everything we can to flatten the curve and prevent our hospitals and ICU’s from being overwhelmed.
